UAE 2012/04 released!

Registered UAE users can now download the updated version from their download URLs.

(If you have UAE 2011 installed, we recommend you uninstall it first and then install UAE 2012 to the same folder. This way you won’t need new activation. In any case, if you are prompted for activation, just email us your activation ID, and we will get back to you as soon as possible).

What’s new?

• Decompile engines updated to the latest.
• Some minor UI enhancements.

With this update,

• Decompile engines are updated to the latest.
• New SWF Size dialog. Diaplays SWF tag counts and sizes. This helps especially when comparing SWF files.
• Now there are options for not displaying the sidebar and the toolbar.
• AdCheck defaults has been updated, retired formats removed. (This applies only for a new installation, for default values).

UAE 2012 released!

This update mainly fixes bugs. Decompile engines are updated to the latest. Thanks to Claus Wahlers, undocumented PlaceObject3 flags for SWF 11+ are now supported. Preview has been updated and preview support for the Flash Player incubator release targeting SWFs is removed (as they are also not supported by current Flash Player version).

UAE now requires activation. When you first run UAE, your PAC (Product activation code) will be displayed. You will need to send it to us to receive your license file.

What has changed from the ‘Release Candidate’ pre-release version we had in April 2010?

• AS2/AS3 decompile engines updated to the latest. (There’s now AS3 Import Options dialog).
• SWF13/FP11 now supported (including support for LZMA compressed SWF files).
• Other bug fixes and enhancements.
• UAE now requires activation on current hardware. (Single license = single activation).
• UAE start-up time is increased, now a splash graphic is displayed during start-up.
• Currently no help file or any documentation is available.
