Localizations
Although we provide no support for localizations, Benjy (from New Dimension FR) provided us French localizations for UAE 4. (Thanks Benjy!)

Download the appropriate localization file and extract the contents to the folder you have UAE40.EXE. If your regional settings are also French or Polish, you should be able to run UAE localized. (There might be parts not localized and menu items with extra text displayed).

Tips
Change the idle SWF
URL Action Editor displays its logo in the preview window when no item is selected. The logo is a SWF file named uae5clr.tmp for UAE 5.x. By replacing this file with your own you can change the idle display of the preview window.

Three easy ways to run UAE with a SWF
Our policy has been "not mess with the system". Our applications do not write to registry, change any system setting, copy any file to a system directory, etc. We even don't have installers because of this policy and we consider this as a feature. UAE is no exception.

Of course you may need to access UAE more easily. In that case we suggest that you try one of the following:

1. UAE on Desktop
Copy a shortcut to UAE5.EXE to your desktop, then you can simply drag&drop a SWF file on this icon.

2. UAE in 'Send to' menu
You can copy a shortcut to UAE5.EXE to your 'SendTo' folder and then this shortcut will appear in 'Send To' submenu of the context menu.

Notes for Microsoft Windows 98:

Your 'SendTo' folder is named 'SendTo' under the Windows folder. The location by default is 'c:\windows\sendto'.

Notes for Microsoft Windows XP:

Your 'SendTo' folder is named 'SendTo' under the 'Documents and Settings' folder for the user. An example might be 'E:\Documents and Settings\Agent Smith\SendTo'. 'SendTo' folder is hidden by default so you may need to select the option to view hidden files and folders first.

3. 'Edit with UAE' in context menu
It's not that difficult to add an 'Edit with UAE' command to the context menu!. Just follow the instructions below:

For Microsoft Windows 98:

Open 'My Computer' or any other folder.
Choose 'Folder Options' in 'View' menu.
Click 'File Types' tab.
Select 'Flash Movie' in 'Registered File Types' list and press 'Edit' button.
Click 'New' button.
Enter 'Edit with UAE' in 'Action' box.
Browse for UAE5.EXE or write the path to UAE5.EXE in the 'application used to perform action' box. (You can add double quots (") arround the path if the path contains space to make sure it works).
Press 'OK', then 'Close' and again 'Close'.
Right-click a SWF file and execute the 'Edit with UAE' command to see if it works.

For Microsoft Windows XP:

Open 'My Computer' or any other folder.
Choose 'Folder Options' in 'Tools' menu.
Click 'File Types' tab.
Select 'Flash Movie' in 'Registered File Types' list and press 'Advanced' button.
Click 'New' button.
Enter 'Edit with UAE' in 'Action' box.
Browse for UAE5.EXE or write the path to UAE5.EXE in the 'Application used to perform action' box.
Press 'OK', then 'OK' and 'Close'.
Right-click a SWF file and execute the 'Edit with UAE' command to see if it works.
